Robohop II: The Future of Sound Enforcement
Serve the beat
Robohop is a man/machine robo-rap collective built around a collision of industrial electronics, hip hop production, and dystopian sci-fi attitude. Conceived by Sean Payne of Cyanotic and Vampyre Anvil, the project reimagines the world of cybernetic law enforcement as a dark, beat-driven hybrid of machine funk, underground rap, and synthetic aggression.
Rooted in the Midwest and assembled with a rotating cast of solid contributors, Robohop brings together Chicago-area MCs, producers, and collaborators to create a style that feels equal parts industrial club culture and street-level futurism. Heavy rhythm programming, metallic textures, and sharp lyricism drive the project forward, turning classic sci-fi imagery into something loud, weird, and unmistakably urban.
The result is an industrial hip hop project with its own mythology: part tribute, part satire, part underground transmission from the Midwest MIDI ghetto. Robohop lives in the space where dystopian cinema, sample culture, and hard electronic production intersect.
